Global Citizen is an annual event that was happening first time outside USA and for the first time in INDIA.

The event was located at MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai.

A crowd of 80000 enthused individuals have gathered to witness this musical extravaganza where national and international artists from across the globe have come to perform on various genres of music. Among the Indian celebrities, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bacchhan, Alia Bhatt, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Monali Thakur, Katrina Kaif and many more graced the stage.

The last performer of the night were the Coldplay. Everything about their 100 minute performance was surreal.
From the first song 'Head Full of Dreams' to 'Yellow', from 'Paradise' to 'Magic', from 'Clocks' to 'Scientist', from 'Adventure of a Lifetime' to 'Hymn for the weekend', you name it and they gave it. But if you asked me to choose the best of the best, I'd pick 'Sky full of Stars' as the band's most passionate performance. The crowd was thrilled by the performance of the Coldplay Artists.

And then came a moment that nobody had anticipated even in their dreams. Chris sang 'Channa Mereya' from the movie ADHM just before the final song 'A Sky Full of Stars'. Chris' engagement with the audience in English and Hindi too was spectacular. The sign off is was what made the whole concert truly historic.

In an ode to India, AR Rahman sang 'Vande Mataram' and Chris Martin decided to give him company. Infact, the words 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' that he sang with Rahman was a spontaneous decision. The confetti, firecrackers, massive screens, the entire audio visual experience was phenomenal
