In this video, I decided to cover the Soul of Cinder boss theme. When I first heard the piano notes in Phase 2, I immediately recognized it as Gwyn's theme from Dark Souls I. Easily my favorite boss from the series, I mean come on were fighting ourselves!

For the arrangement, I wanted to stay as close to the original as possible. In the first phase I kept the dynamics around mezzo forte to save some energy for the transition and I put a heavy emphasis on bass. Leading up to the climax of phase 1, I played the melody in tetrachords in both hands. In the transition, I used all my power to create a huge crescendo into the introduction of phase 2. Phase 2 was pretty straightforward because I already covered Gwyn's theme.
