Caleb Plays If You Could Hie to Kolob (Sundays @ 6; Week 18) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 19, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
This week's Sunday @ 6 has Caleb playing If You Could Hie to Kolob written by Williams and arranged by Marshall McDonald. This is a pretty intense song that could benefit from some more practicing to make it smoother, but Caleb picked this one a few days ago and wanted it for this episode. It is a long song with a fancy 16 bar optional interlude which he chooses to play.

Join Caleb every week for Sundays @ 6 where he plays a different church song arrangement each week.

A little background information on Sundays @ 6:
Caleb picks a different church arrangement each week, sometimes as late as the night before recording, so his pieces aren't always polished, yet still pretty and fun to listen to. Often his recorded episode is only after playing the song through a few times. One week he picked a song, played it twice and then we recorded it. Today was a first take on recording it, although he had practiced it 5 times during the week.

Caleb likes all kinds of fancy church arrangements. He has enjoyed many talented composer/arrangers's works such as those from Aaron Waite, Chas Hathaway, Marshall McDonald, Marvin Goldstein, and many more. He looks forward to each week when he can perform a new arrangement for all to hear.
