DESCRIPTION:
Christine Ohlman has graced the stage of Saturday Night Live for over two decades as front-woman for the Saturday Night Live Band. She performed with Big Brother and the Holding Company, taking the roll of Janis Joplin, in Central Park and joined George Harrison and Chrissie Hynde on stage for Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary Concert in Madison Square Garden. She's active in the New Orleans music community and the music scene in Muscle Shoals, AL and still finds time to create her own brand of blue-eyed soul with a wall of guitars edge. The 'Bee-Hive' Queen, and her band Rebel Montez have released 6 albums to critical acclaim including the latest album, The Deep End. The powerhouse guitar of Cliff Goodwin along with the incredible rhythm section of Michael Colbath on bass and Larry Donahue on drums make Rebel Montez one of the most formidable bands on the Americana /Roots music circuit. Thursday, September 5th, Christine Ohlman and Rebel Montez brought down the house at Alternate Root TV studios in Boston while fiming this week's edition of 'EP'-The Extended Play Sessions.
