DESCRIPTION:
Yeh mate. I acquired this guitar from a big Roach Twins fan from long ago. He acquired the guitar from an uncle who passed away. The guitar is mostly an original Fender 62 . I say mostly as it was in bits when he gave it to me. Apparently it got smashed up in the 60's in a car accident on the way to a gig at The Cavern, Liverpool, of all places!! The guitar got forgot about and was found in the uncles loft!! The neck was a right off and the body got partly split and he gave me a bag containing the serviving hard-ware and electronics. Andy at A6 guitars managed to put it all back together again! He built a new neck from existing remains of the original, put body back together and managed to keep most of the original black paint work which was well worn away! Non-serviving bits have been replaced with modern equivalents and red scratch plate fitted. The Wilco replica based on an original 62 now plays like a dream and sounds amazing! Perfect Wilko tones PS. This guitar was acquired on the promise that I was forming a Dr Feelgood covers/ tribute band and I would do Wilko proud? That I will do. The guy who gave it to me knew the potential value of the guitar once restored so it's on permanent lone on the condition that I never sell it? A good deal to me if I might say. Ta!
