Xbox One Bluetooth Chat Adapter Mod - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 11, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
If you found this video, then you likely know that there is no commercially available bluetooth chat solution for Xbox One. Well, Turtle Beach is releasing a fully wireless Xbox One headset this month, but I don't know if it works on bluetooth or not, and also is about $250, so if you feel like ditching your otherwise perfectly good bluetooth capable headset to spend $250 on a new one, then there's that route. Otherwise, for about $30 (assuming you have a soldering iron) you can follow this tutorial.

This video is meant as a supplement/companion piece to Rich McManners' chat mod tutorial (http://94.136.40.103/~mcmanners.co.uk/funkydiver/?p=1). I used his to do this, and pulled it off on the first try.

You will need to know how to solder. I have not soldered in about 15 years, and I pulled this off on the first try, so you don't need to be a pro or anything.

One thing I forgot to point out in the video is how I used the scissors to trim off a corner of the bluetooth chip board. This is so it fits inside the Xbox One chat adapter housing. Pay attention to my bluetooth board to see the corner I cut off, especially when I show you how it fits in the Xbox One chat housing once I've shaved the ribs out of it.

I'm using this with a set of Turtle Beach XP400s, but this adapter should pair with any bluetooth enabled chat device. I've used it with a pair of Motorola ROKR stereo bluetooth headphones before.

Any questions, just ask.
