I've never really recorded much in the way of cover songs, haven't ever seen the point as I know l could never improve on the originals. However, when genius pianist and friend Colin Mitchell contacted me with his idea of covering Paul Simon's 'American Tune', I eventually accepted the challenge as it's one of my favourite songs in the history of music. So here it is. American Tune by Paul Simon sung by myself with Colin Mitchell on sumptuous piano and loads of invaluable help from Paula Mitchell who expertly performed various production tasks.
I don't think I've totally murdered the song so hopefully a few of you might enjoy it.
