What primarily makes Sleep Talking such a successful product - in addition to the detailed and thorough arrangements - that they are God-given songwriters who manages to combine the comprehensible with large complexity in the melody lines and harmonization without sounding artificial. Although they listy Thinking Plague and Robert Wyatt as influences, in my ears surpasses both of them.

These days, when it is easy to be depressed over all the second-rate music that is presented as progressive, it is infinitely refreshing to be exposed to a band who really understand what the word progressive means. Sleep Talking is going to figure high up when my list of this year's best records is set up!

[Tarkus Magazine, n°51]

This is avant-garde pop at its finest.

[.] If you are looking for party music look elsewhere as you will not find that here. What you will find are eleven tracks of dreamy art pop that gently delve occasionally in experimentalism and avant-garde.

[.] If you like your pop dipped in dreaminess with the odd bit of disharmony entering the fold you would do well to make Sleep Talking your next acquaintance. ****

"Highly recommended. This gives a new meaning to contemporary alternative music. From a label with a taste for music. ****1/2"

[Psychemusic]

TOP 50 ALBUMS OF 2009
