DESCRIPTION:
Here's an odd duck. This is a commercially produced carry case (by whom I don't know) designed to hold an RCA 45J-2 attachment. It holds the attachment in the lower part of the case and the upper section houses the amplifier & speaker. Notice the cutout in the upper case designed to allow room for the spindle when closed. It has volume & tone controls, electrical outlet for the 45 player and audio input for the player as well. It features a simple amplifier providing very thin and tinny sound through the 4" speaker. I'm going to guess this was designed to allow the teenager in the family to steal the family's 45 RPM attachment and allow him to go to a party with this inexpensive setup! This has been restored and features a ceramic stereo cartridge bridged for mono. ENJOY!!
