DESCRIPTION:
Spiritual life means an internal life, not just an external life. Yoga teaches that our external environment has a very profound effect on our internal environment or our consciousness. Through the practice of meditation, we are trying to create our own environment to bring about a particular consciousness according to our wishes. More than anything else, the sounds we hear affect our consciousness.
What sounds will we be hearing? In the practice of Mantra Yoga, we are creating an environment with transcendental sound vibration - making the sound vibration and enveloping ourself in a particular sound vibration that brings about transcendental consciousness . Mantra yoga is a very scientific process of utilizing the senses, especially the sense of hearing, in transcendental sound.
