"Patchwork" is a bold quintet chaired by Nello Toscano, an internationally renowned bass player, founder and director of the Mediterranean Jazz Orchestra.
This composition is dedicated and inspired to the work of Lester Bowie.

The Taormina Jazz Festival, which enjoys the art direction by Toti Cannistraro, aims to promote jazz as an art form, celebrating the rich variety of traditional standards and innovations of its more experimental expressions.

The event is arranged by Nino Scandurra, patron of the initiative and owner of the shoes and clothing boutique in Taormina of the same name, and supported by longtime sponsors such as Roberto Del Carlo, Piero Guidi, Pinko, Alberto Guardiani, Heritage, Hotel Metropole Taormina and Premier Tax Free.

The festival enjoys the indispensable support and patronage of the Assessorato al Turismo e Verde Pubblico of the City of Taormina and has been included among the events rounding out the calendar of Taormina Arte.
