Brwn Shoes was born in France, spent years hanging around in the sweaty basements of London before making home in Valencia, Spain. In 2007, he released his first EP on Danton Eeprom's imprint, Fondation Records and gained support from the likes of Jennifer Cardini. Since then he's been pretty quiet, until now, but the wait is over and we are very pleased to welcome him into the Join Our Club family.

His productions are based on obsessive basslines and a concoction of subtle notes and minimalist gimmicks that provide stripped-down and moody pieces fit for the dance floor.

Alongside the original tracks we have remixes from Last Magpie and Steve Leggett. Last Magpie is on a serious upward trajectory at the moment. With hot EPs on Hypercolour and Losing Suki his remix of 'The Return' introduces a serious slab of New Jersey inspired rough house to the release.

Steve Legget has been producing electronic music since 1996, from his early collaborations as Four Hands with the critically acclaimed single Hizou on Claremont 56 label, and more recently recording solo for Signals records with Mammoth Mountain, a remix of Manchester based experimental artist Caro Snatch. Parallel to his ambient outings he has produced dubbed out techno tracks over the years. His take on 'Will She' (with additional production by Suade) encapsulates texture, groove and a massive dollop of atmosphere. Close your eyes and get lost in a dark new world.
