DESCRIPTION:
Darren Creech opens up his hour-long set as part of the CMC's Nuit Blanche presentation, "A Touch of Light." Creech performed each movement of Palej's Seven River-views, and we hear the first two movements in this clip ("The Vistula at Night: Reflections" and "The White Fog and a Red Sun"). The pattern and intensity of the incandescent lights are triggered by microphones picking up the sound from the piano. The light installation was developed by LeuWebb Projects, and it all took place in Chalmers House.
