DESCRIPTION:
Total Environment Music Foundation presents the Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble at Windmills Craftworks on 28th, 29th and 30th October 2016.

Influenced by the Gypsy jazz legend Django Reinhardt, Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble is a Winsconsin based instrumental acoustic jazz group. Their music takes influences from American jazz, European folk, traditional Latin, Parisian waltz, and other vintage-jazz sources, and hence, you can expect the originals and standards done in uniquely arranged styles.

They have performed the world over since they were formed in 2003, and have had a wide variety of live radio and television performances as well. Caravan Gypsy have had five releases till date – but they regard their September 2015 release The Waiting Game to be their best work till date. A seasoned group and a unique voice in the Gypsy Jazz genre, Caravan Gypsy Swing Ensemble has a diverse repertoire. Although the music of Django Reinhardt is at the core of the band, they have learnt to take Gypsy Jazz music in multiple directions.
