The 314th release on Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's Mistique Music imprint features the re-issue of an older Relaunch project. 'Suspense' originally saw the light of day on the now defunct Hyline Music in October of 2011. This particular release has been unavailable for some time as the Hyline catalog was pulled from Beatport shortly after the label folded. Mistique however have added a new twist to the release, in addition to the Basil O'Glue and Bradler remixes we get treated to a brand new version from one of our favourites Kay-D.

The 'Suspense' original gets underway with a very ominous and brooding vibe. Like all Relaunch tracks you can just feel something immense building even at the outset. As the rolling bass line drops a sequence of soft stabs forms a killer hook and cavernous groove. Relaunch's synth lines are like electrically charged currents that rip through the atmosphere like razor blades and their relentless energy carries the track to the main drop. The breakdown reveals a wonderful set of chords that are angelically soothing and serve to heighten the senses mightily before a trail of sonic devastation brings the thunderous groove back to the forefront.

The first remix and lone new interpretation on the package comes from Kay-D. Krisztián Kajdi aka Kay-D has become one of Hungary's most recognizable and well respected progressive house producers. A master technician when it comes to crafting emotional melodies and surreal atmospheres he's done so once again on his 'Suspense' interpretation'. Kay-D has really overhauled the original and created something entirely new here. The addition of some great female vocal samples and a glorious selection of melodic keys combine for another rollercoaster of emotions which rolls forward with a huge momentous energy towards the break. The main drop presents a sparkling selection of melodic accents that sit perfectly in a bed of warm chord changes and a subtlety drifting atmosphere. Amazing work from Kay-D once again, this man can do no wrong. :)

Mathias Bradler started his international career as one half of "Mashtronic". As Mashtronic, Mathias Bradler and Henri Hurtig (Cid Inc) have released their productions on the world's biggest labels including: Global Underground, Bedrock, Strictly Rhythm, Data, Ministry of Sound and countless others. In 2008 Mathias took some time away from music to focus on other projects and returned soon after under the 'Bradler' alias with a fresh techno sound. His productions have since graced the Dieb Audio, Viva Music and Blufin imprints. Bradler now makes his debut on Mistique Music and provides the first remix of Relaunch's 'Suspense'. Bradler's tough, punchy sound is as dynamic as ever here, he's stripped 'Suspense' down to its bare bones and constructed a minimal drummy groove that's bursting with dance floor energy. A superb complement to Relaunch's monster progressive original.

Greek born and based producer Basil O'Glue has been red hot of late. His productions are consistently getting play from Markus Schulz on his Global DJ Broadcast and Armin Van Buuren and Ferry Corsten are among his biggest supporters. For his 'Suspense' remix Basil has taken all the great elements from the original and delivered a softer atmospheric version with a wonderful heavenly vibe. The wispy, swirling synths and granular textures are filled with character and life. The breakdown is a truly surreal snapshot of sound which pushes the sonic textures to an even higher level. The apex of the track comes amidst a swirling melodic haze that consumes the atmosphere as the tough punchy groove below keeps things firmly focused on the dance floor.
