In the cittttayyy! Kendrick Lamar tributes Compton with a cover of "California Love" at the iHeartRadio Music Awards yup! This is Clevver's Trophy Life with all your award season updates. Cause California knows how to party, Kendrick Lamar repped the West Coast with a fresh cover of the OG Tupac and Dr. Dre hit.

Kendrick actually started that performance in the audience and came up to the stage, barely recognizable in his jeans and "C" (for Compton) baseball hat. It was pretty much a perfect song for the proud Compton rapper to perform at the LA show. Kendrick brought a familiar tone to the classic song and even Rihanna couldn't help but doing a little head nodding in the audience. Don't worry KL snuck in his hook from "ma.a.d city" and engaged the audience in some synchronized 90's hand waving like this ___________, in honor of the late Tupac Shakur. Kendrick's understated performance ended with fans infiltrating the stage with TDE shirts on (a nod to his record label) and more hand nodding. We got nothin' but love for Kendrick Lamar and this fresh cover.
