On Saturday, October 9, 2010, the Arkansas Blues & Heritage Festival (newly renamed to the King Biscuit Blues Festival) presented the 1st Blues Symposium panel discussion at the Malco Theater on Cherry St in Helena, AR. Discussion was centered around the topic of how the land influences the culture & music of the Delta. The event was co-sponsored by the Mike Curb Institute for Music at Rhodes College, the Rhodes College African American Studies Program, and Roller Citizens Funeral Home of Helena, AR.
