The Calico Effects Sunnmanor is a preamp pedal based on the Sunn Beta series amps, legendary solid-state amplifiers used by bands ranging from the Melvins and Nirvana, to Red Fang. It rips hard on bass, guitar, or whatever you plug into the jack, and specializes in the big and gnarly. It is equipped with substantial gain and output, as well as a flexible three-band EQ that is capable of sculpting the tone in dramatic ways. In this video demo, I run the Calico Effects Sunnmanor through its paces on bass and guitar in the opening musical number, before deep-diving into functionality to show you what sounds are lurking in all the nooks and crannies.
