Building your own cabinet will normally render a better product than what you can purchase because you're using solid wood and not particle board or MDF wood. You can also select if you wish an open or closed back cabinet and as well change the speaker grill material.

My cabinet dimensions were base on the most common height and dept for a cabinet. The width was based on the number of speakers being inserted... in this case just one 12".

WIDTH = 22.5 inches (57.2 centimeters)
HEIGHT = 18.5 inches (46.9 centimeters)
DEPTH = 11 inches (27.9 centimeters)

Wood used = Hard Maple Plywood

Hardware = Q Components (www.qcomponents.ca)

Paint = Miniwax Polyshades - Red Stain

Speaker = Celestion Rocket 50. (Note this speaker is an average speaker and was used only for the demo of this video. It works find when used with other high quality speakers).

Sound demo at the end of the video was recorded with the camera microphone.

Music playing during the construction of the speaker cabinet is by the band Calista, available for purchase on iTunes.
