The sound of Modtone's Fuzz is not unlike that of a Big Muff but uses a proprietary circuit to produce a rich and throaty tone with some superb cleanup available at lower gain settings. Most muff-type pedals stick with the same tone stack that filters out high frequencies when rolled back and low frequencies when turned up. Modtone's Fuzz does away with that convention and employs a Tone control that enjoys musicality outside a typical range. Turn it down for some serious low-end chunk with silky top end, and turn it up for a searing lead tone that adds spice to any solo without sounding like a can of bees. Modtone's Fuzz sustains like a dream with a fat low end that cannot be denied. When set to low-gain, the Modtone Fuzz is a great always-on pedal for a thick, raw base tone, perfect for any style of rock n' roll.
