This was Polara's second and final single released on an independent label before they made the switch to Interscope Records in 1996. Well, that's not 100% true, since they did release a split single with Red Red Meat on Generator in 1996 (on which both bands covered each other), so that (half) counts.

This single continues the progression to a heavier version of psychedelic rock or shoegaze rock (as much as I dislike that term) than we heard with Ed Ackerson's previous band, The 27 Various. But truth be told, those 27 Various albums could be pretty psychedelic too. So never mind.
