Who is FakeLife?

A couple years ago, Sam Robinson (Robo) and his freshman year hall-mates wrote and recorded a song playing on New England college stereotypes, and with the help of an LA production company and a couple hundred enthusiastic Middlebury students, turned it into something almost 1/20th as popular as a keyboard cat video. After writing and producing an original soundtrack to a feature length film, he's started a new project doing what he loves: making music and filming videos to entertain and distract you. He calls it FakeLife.

What does FakeLife mean?

That's for you to decide. Your FakeLife may not be ours and ours may not be yours.

For us, it's music. And it's the music that unites us. Around music we all come together to distract each other from the hurdles of our real life. Real life is your credit card bill at the end of the night. It's an all-nighter before a mid-term. Real life is "Sir" and "Ma'am" and a double windsor knot.

But your FakeLife exists in an unbreakable partnership with your real life, and we recognize that. You're ambitious, but you're not ready to resign yourself to the monotony of the grind. That's why FakeLife is the excess that you enjoy in moderation. It's the summer camp to your school year, the marshmallows in your Lucky Charms.

So keep crushing your real life, but when the mountains on your Coors Light fade back to grey, FakeLife will be here to remind you why you haven't left the kids table just yet.
