DESCRIPTION:
Guitarist and composer Brandon Ross talks about his May 9 Interpretations concert with his group 'For Living Lovers', a duo with Stumo Takeishi on acoustic bass guitar. The project will expand to a quartet with the inclusion of trumpeter Stephanie Richards and drummer JT Lewis (Ross's frequent collaborator in the band Harriet Tubman and in Henry Threadgill's Make a Move).

Also featured on May 9 is Marty Ehrlich's Plowshares People, with Jennifer Choi & Cornelius Dufallo - violin; Lev Zhurbin - viola; Alex Waterman - cello; Marty Ehrlich - alto saxophone and solo clarinet.
