BRINSLEY FORDE is an accomplished Actor,Song Writer,Director, Radio & TV Broadcaster.



Said to be the first black child star on British television, in the well loved role of Spring in the TWENTIETH CENTURY FOX TV series, HERE COME THE DOUBLE DECKERS.which aired on Saturday mornings in the US.

Brinsley went on to star in film and television roles before finding global success as a musician and founding member or the chart topping band, ASWAD.



His acting resume includes roles in movies such as PLEASE SIR!, Nick Love's GOODBYE CHARLIE BRITE, John Boorman’s LEO THE LOST, James Bond film, DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER as well at TV roles in LWT PLEASE SIR and HTV'S THE GEORGIAN HOUSE. Director Franco Rosso cast Brinsley in the staring role of the highly regarded 80's cult British film, BABYLON. In 2009, BABYLON was released to DVD (Icon Home Entertainment) with stella reviews and panel discussions at the British Film Institute.

Brinsley fronted the British reggae group, ASWAD (signed to ISLAND records,CBS UK and SONY JAPAN).

Twice nominated for Grammy awards, ASWAD scored PLATINUM ALBUM SALES and a number of chart successes including Give A Little Love, On and On, Next to You, Shine and number one chart hit with Don't Turn Around. ACE OF BASS included an Aswad mix in their cover that topped the US charts. UK favorite CLIFF RICHARDS personally requested ASWAD as one of the producers of his 100th single and to be a guest at his record breaking show THE EVENT, in Wembley Stadium. Brinsley’s command of the stage made ASWAD first choice to headlined countless international tours, which including a performances for Princess Diana, Rock in Rio festival and for Nelson Mandel at his 70th Birthday concert celebration.

Brinsley was honored In 2000 with a Master Card MOBO (Music of Black Origin) award, FOR SPECIAL CONTRIBUTION TO MUSIC



Popular as a guest on many British Television shows Brinsley was soon asked to bring his unique flavors to Viacoms/VH-1's, SOUL VIBRATIONS. As VJ he was given the freedom to script his own shows, introducing many R&B Hip Hop and early Reggae videos to TV for the first time. When the BBC needed a presenter for the television magazine show EBONY they contracted Brinsley. A second series EBONY ON THE ROAD was commissioned this time Brinsley & co presenters left the studio to report on the events where they happened. In 2002 Brinsley was chosen as one of the presenters to launch the first of the BBC Digital Radio Stations 6 Music. It was the first national music radio station to be launched by the BBC in 32 years. Brinsley once again organized his play list and scripted his own shows LIVELY UP YOURSELF and later his pioneering show, DUB PLATE BASHMENT. Hosting opportunities continued with the acclaimed BBC Radio 2 Documentary BEHIND THE SMILE THE REAL LIFE OF BOB MARLEY, a man Brinsley personally knew (Brinsley features in the BOB MARLEY music video BUFFALO SOLDIER & ONE LOVE). He presents the eight part documentary ISLAND ROCK series to mark the 40th anniversary of Jamaicas Independence.

BOB MARLEY'S Bass player ASTON FAMILYMAN BARRETT called on his old friend Brinsley to front the WAILERS during their Spanish tour.



Brinsley is currently back in the recording studio in Jamaica recording his album produced by Reggae's premier Riddim duo Sly and Robbie.



And coming very soon the release of his collaboration with the man behind Police in Dub the remarkable Guido Craveiro.
