Formerly known as 'Brigitte Handley & The Dark Shadows', the band has now officially shortened the name to 'The Dark Shadows'. "We feel it's a natural progression and has taken shape as the band has evolved and developed it's own personality unified by the contributions and uniqueness of each player together as a whole."

This Sydney based independent 3 piece has toured extensively throughout Australia, USA, UK, Europe & Japan, playing with bands such as The Stray Cats (USA), Marky Ramone (USA), Sham 69 (UK), Christian Death (USA), The Deep Eynde (USA), Tiger Army (USA), 45 Grave (USA), Meteors (UK), The Quakes (USA), Batmobile (NL), Demented Are Go (UK), Mad Sin (Germany), Messer Chups (RUS), Frenzy (UK), Frantic Flintstones (UK), Hola Ghost (Denmark), Guana Batz, Koffin Kats (USA) Rezurex (USA).

The Dark Shadows have also appeared at international festivals including the Wave Gotik Treffen, Leipzig, Germany, AU Fest Frankfurt at one of Germany's most famous punk squats, Psychomania Rumble in Berlin, Ink 'n' Iron Festival in Long Beach CA, USA, Summer Strummer Festival CA USA, Santa Monica CA, USA.

The Dark Shadows have just released their new EP, 'Invisible' on CD as well as special a limited edition version on 10" Vinyl including digital download codes. This is the 2nd independent EP release from the band including 5 new tracks and a glimpse of what lays ahead artistically. This release sees a more atmospheric and artistic side of the band emerging amidst haunting theremin sounds, keyboards and synthesisers interwoven into the Dark Shadows signature style.

The Dark Shadows music is currently being spun by DJs worldwide most notably Rodney Bingenheimer KROQ FM, LA, USA, George Williams (Good Morning Garage) Tokyo, Japan, Mike Davis Punk Show BBC, Tequila Mockingbird, Karma Radio Network USA, Jezz Harkins, former Yeah Yeah Yeahs manager and Breakthrough Radio DJ NYC.
