The Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band (http://www.brighouseandrastrickband.co.uk) is regarded by many as the best and most consistent ‘public subscription band’ in the world. In its time the majority of premier band championships have been held by ‘Briggus’ whilst the band has also attracted a formidable reputation for highly entertaining concerts for both the general public and brass band connoisseur.

Lucy Ward is an award winning singer songwriter from Derby.

After winning the BBC Radio 2 Horizon Award (Best Newcomer) in 2012, Lucy’s career has gone from strength to strength establishing her as one of the hottest performers on the UK Folk scene, pulling a capacity audience on her Cambridge Folk Festival debut and gracing the mighty Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury. Her elevation to the top of the folk ladder was acknowledge with a nomination for the BBC Folk Singer of the Year Award at the Royal Albert Hall in February 2014.
