With brick symbolizing a strong foundation and savvy meaning understanding and know-how, it wasn’t long before the name Brick-Saavy was forged with a touch of creative spelling to define what his rap moniker is all about… ” knowledge and know how being a strong foundation”.



Originally hailing from Trenton, NJ, an 8 year old Brick-Saavy moved to Virginia Beach, VA with his mother where he soon picked up on the similar undertones of his original surroundings in his new environment. Influenced heavily by the style of hardcore east coast Hip Hop and artists like Notorious B.I.G, Mobb Deep, Jay-Z, Nas, Wu Tang Clan, CNN, to name a few, Brick-Saavy started to pen his own rhymes at the age of 12 and as he honed his writing skills over some years, his talent became his release for his own tales and his perspective of his world the way he lived and perceived it but he never took it seriously until his son was born. With one foot in the street and the other foot looking for solid ground to position himself for the great exodus of the game for his son, he took a leap of faith and relied on his talent for creating his music to provide for his family.



To solidify his commitment to this choice, Brick-Saavy enrolled in and completed Berklee College of Music’s Master Music Business program. Strapped with the essential knowledge of the music business, Brick-Saavy established his own independent imprint, Rebel Lyfe Records, and is now ready to put it all on the line.
