LOS ANGELES—July 13, 2010—Olodum, the 23-member percussion and dance ensemble that created samba reggae, comes direct from Bahia to share their vibrant and sensual music at the much-anticipated, annual LA tradition of the 17th Annual Brazilian Summer Festival 2010 at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood on Sunday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 5pm for picnicking, DJ and booths. Percussionist/vocalist Flavio Ribeiro and Brasilidade bring a the rich sounds of samba and pagode. The Bloco Samba for you Dancers, add samba, axe and samba-reggae to the mix. Also: A capoeira show with Gustavo Brasil, booths with arts and crafts and DJ Chris Brazil spinning Brazilian beats!
