I'm waiting on a McMillen SoftStep foot controller for this, but in the meantime I discovered this cool Midi Designer iphone/ipad app - it makes programming midi controls a breeze, and works over wifi. Scuffham's S-gear software amps has dozens of parameters that can be controlled via midi - here I've just programmed a few to get started - amp channel & boost switches, gain and level knobs, reverb, delay and mod bypass switches... It's a little cramped on the iphone, but still better and quicker than grabbing a mouse. On an iPad it would be even better - plus you could take off your shoes and use it as a foot controller :)
