Uploader's comments: The first entry of another pack of musical video game rivalries. There were a lot of themes to choose from for this one, although the musical contrast between Mario's happy-go-lucky music and Bowser's dark and badass music certainly didn't make this easy.

Bowser and Mario have been maintaining a healthy rivalry over all this years which lead to many, many successful games. To this day I'm still not sure what Bowser's actual intentions are. Conquering the Mushroom Kingdom? World domination? ...Princess Peach? If the latter were true, there would be a certain rivalry between these two.

But even without that, Bowser knows that his only true enemy is Mario, whom he has tried to overcome countless times. And we certainly don't want to forget the times where someone stronger shows up, in which case Bowser can to put his pride aside and team up with his arch nemesis if the situation calls for it.
