Boulder Acoustic Society...for the band - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 31, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
While performing at a house concert in Aurora Nebraska band members made a plea to be able to visit the top of the Hamilton County Cout House. Through the magic of fifteen year old video shot during the centennial year of its building, we offer a virtual your of Aurora's Court House. Today no one is allowed in the tower except service personell. There is a protected colony of bats living there and there are the ever-present concerns about liability.

The keeper of the keys, Fritz Wilson, decorated the tower at Christmas for many years as his volunteer effort. Fritz is no longer doing so, but the video he helped make possible gives us a look at the massive superstructure inside the base of the tower..walls several feet thick reaching up to a pinnacle accessible only by a rickety staircase. The view from the top shows a building scape which has dramatically altered since the Fidelity Building was destroyed by fire in the interim.
