This is a classic Folk song from the times of Australia's first English settlers, albeit convicted criminals. Captain Cook is a name to conjure with having landed there in 1770 and being amazed by seeing so many Sting Rays.I recently heard a version of this by Frank Ifield and it triggered a forgotten memory so I couldn't resist digging out.Not sure I've sung the ''toora la lays' correctly but we all have to put our own slant on things.
