A little fooling around with my Boss Compression Sustainer. It has a very characteristic tone. It can be used as a type of booster. Like all other compressors, depending on the settings, it can bring up some background noise. It's a very fine pedal, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking to have a fuller and Richer sound. Some people use them as an always on pedal.
