Bo Roberts Bio

Bo Roberts was born in Chester, Arkansas.
At the age of 11, he met Buddy Holly
and promptly went off to buy a guitar.
His first paying job was with John Fogerty.
For three years, he was the lead guitar and band leader for Hank Williams, Jr.
Roberts also played lead guitar for Gene Watson. During that time, he co-wrote the #1 hit “You’re Out Doing What I’m Here Doing Without” for Watson.
In 1990, Willie Nelson released Roberts' “Ten with a Two” as a single off his “Born for Trouble” album.
In 2008, Kenny Chesney cut the song for his “Lucky Old Sun” album. There is even an award-winning drink called “10 with a 2” created by the master bartender at Chesney’s rum company launched in 2013. Roberts cowrote the title song on Jamey Johnson’s 2012 Grammy nominated album “Living for a Song” Roberts is honored to have had Johnson and country music legends Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, and Hank Cochran each sing a verse of the song on the album.
