Gaskins (Spark Arrester)

I grew up as the son of two multi-instrument bluegrass musicians on a lake. I loved throwing parties in the mid-90's and I'd never met or even seen another DJ when I started buying records. I'm still throwing parties now, but stepped it up a bit after 2000 with a close group of DJ friends. We are the Boogieburg Soundsystem and we love showing people a good time. Recent guest DJ's at our parties include Nickodemus, Ursula 1000, See-I, DJ DRM of Bastard Jazz, Fort Knox Five, and DJ Sabo. I've played a lot of parties on the east coast with the likes of Tittsworth, Sound Advice, Nickodemus, DJ Meistro and Charles Feelgood. I write tunes with DJ Eclectic as Spark Arrester and we've got a new release on South City Recordings titled "Booted EP" featuring 2 of our tracks plus tunes by Kid Gusto and South City Allstars. You can also check out some of our music on a forward-thinking record label out of Athens, Greece called Cast-a-Blast.
