Bob Reuter and Alley Ghost: "Big Muddy Records Fish Fry" set (Pt. 1 of 2) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Aug 06, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
I capture a decent amount of gigs around town (albeit with a mediocre camera) and do so with a self-imposed rule: only publish what the artist(s) like/approve beforehand. I'm (kind of - some of his band-mates know) making an exception here because anyone wanting to see this should get to - it might be the last recorded performance of the late Bob Reuter with his fierce young band, Alley Ghost.

This is the first of two parts covering almost all of their "Big Muddy Records Fish Fry" set at Off Broadway in St. Louis July 5th 2013, the first with keyboardist Adam Hesed (I know he feels his debut was a bit rough, but true rock 'n roll IS rough - not pretty and polished - in its essence, right?).

That it's in B&W is a happy coincidence: I'd just started using it because the new LED lights here make color shoots look weird on my unit. I now realize it's the only way I ever should've taped BRaAG, in particular.

For those of you who couldn't attend this (or want to recall the night), I hope it adequately chronicles what a potent show BRaAG delivered whenever they took the stage.

No multi-camera and/or cool edited stuff here, just a raw, non-stop feed of the set.

So long, Bob - you live on through your art!
