SOME QUOTES ABOUT BMX BANDITS: "The sobriquet "purveyors of perfect pop" might get thrown around like confetti - and too often with little justice - but surely it was dreamed up in response to fragile, even childlike, songs of Duglas T Stewart and BMX Bandits" - Record Collector
"Gentle genius".- Q magazine.
"The Bandits have been a Scottish jangle-pop institution practically since the dawn of time, with Kurt Cobain famously being in awe of their tunesmithery. Fifteen (15!) albums down the line and they can still write the melodies"- N.M.E.
"One of Britain's best-kept secrets. some of the most sumptuous, emotionally devastating pop songs never to grace the top 40. a dream marriage of Brian Wilson and Michel Legrand's Umbrellas of Cherbourg" - The Daily Telegraph.
"Lush and knowing" - The Sunday Herald
"As pure pop music goes it's pretty much unbeatable because there's so much heart and soul tied up in the realisation. These re-fashioned Bandits mean business." - The Next Big Thing
"Beautifully crafted. sad but wryly upbeat honesty" - Record Collector.
"BMX Bandits are like the X-men of Scottish guitar-pop . musical super heroes with band chief Duglas T Stewart as their Professor X"- SLAM magazine
"After 20 years of heartache, melody and romance, it's high time the Bandits were recognised as the classic pop band they are." - The Beard
"Sounding this glorious 21 years into your career is no mean feat. Pop newbies take note" - The List.
"It is a blessing that such a curious and fragile pop oddity can exist in this blustery and busy modern world. Great songs"- N.M.E.
"Stewart's eccentricity, and his lasting, wide-eyed joy at guitar pop's power in its simplest and most upbeat of forms is charmingly honest and not to be scoffed at"- The Scotsman
