New Arrivals: Over 2,000 Jazz LPs!

You jazz lovers out there might have noticed that it's been a little while since we have had a large jazz collection. Today we are pleased to announce a beauty which includes over 200 "rares", those records whose value we peg at $25.00 and up.

The customer who collected these clearly had a love for all things jazz as the titles range from 30's and 40's swing, Dixie and traditional, through the classic bop era, and up to the more modern soul-jazz and spiritual-jazz period of the 70's.

There are many fantastic and sought-after first and early-pressings on Blue Note, Prestige, Impulse, Verve, Contemporary, and many more classic labels.

Highlights include:
Jackie McLean "A Long Drink of the Blues", New Jazz NJLP-8253, d.g., $299.99
Jackie McLean "Makin' the Changes", New Jazz NJLP-8231, d.g., $299.99
Red Garland "All Mornin' Long", Prestige PRLP-7130, yellow NYC, $299.99
Johnny Griffin "Way Out", Riverside RLP 12-274, blue label, d.g., $199.99
George Wallington, etc., "The New York Scene" New Jazz NJLP-8207, d.g., $499.99
Joe Henderson "In 'n Out", Blue Note BLP-4166, NY USA, "ear", $249.99
and, oh so many more!

For those whose budgets are a little tighter, have no fear. While there are many expensive tiles here, there are around 600 at a measly $1.00 a piece and many hundreds more from $1.99 to $14.99. This collection is heavy on imports, particularly British and French; there are dozens of the "Black & White" big band series for example. It includes hundreds of original pressings, but also many much cheaper later pressings and reissues. Also notable are a large number of "DJ"/ "Audition" copies, many that look unplayed. The conditions for the most part are excellent with the covers and vinyl in very good shape. As you might expect with records this old, there are a scratch here and there, but overall, they are a real pleasure.

Many of these records are in very high demand, so to be as fair as possible to all our customers, they are being sold first come, first served. Please do not call us to ask for titles to be put on hold. For those who don't know us well, be aware that we are a walk-in store only; sorry, no mail order.

The records are all out in stock now. If you are in the mood for some great jazz LP shopping, we encourage you to visit us soon. We don't expect them to last long!
