aka "More Good Whiskey"

Composed by William Bunch (Peetie Wheatstraw)

James Brewer was born in Brookhaven, MS. on October 3, 1920. One of the many musicians that migrated to Chicago from his home state to play music. He was a Maxwell Street performer, and was often teamed up with his friend Blind Arvella Gray who he also recorded with. In 1974 he recorded a whole album for the Philo Records label. He always hated the fact the "Blind" was tacked on to his name "My mother named me Jim". Nothing is known about the remainder of his life. He passed away in Chicago on July 3, 1988.
