Black Like Vengeance, Melbourne's premier female fronted Melodic Death/Thrash metal band released their debut cd 'Empty As The Day' in 2007 on Truth Inc Records/MGM, produced by Roman Koester at Complex Studios (The Red Shore, Picture The End, Deez Nuts).
Since their inception, the quintet has toured extensively over the years playing alongside God Forbid (USA), Nervecell (UAE) and many of Australia's greats; Psycroptic, Fuck… I'm Dead, The Red Shore, Switchblade, Truth Corroded, Double Dragon, Daysend, Alarum and Frankenbok to name a few.
Stunning audiences from coast to coast with their sleazy elixir of 'Scandistralian' Metal, Black Like Vengeance stand out as a consequence of well crafted musicianship offered by founding members Martin Kawaler (guitar) and Drew Hanley (guitar), who recruited the talents of Juan Rueda (drums) and Sheri Tantawy (front woman). Sheri's vocals lend a hand to Black Like Vengeance's unique sound, exceeding the talents of not only her male contemparies but of her female as well. Her voice is as brutal as it is beautiful.
