A few years ago, I was looking to buy a new guitar and decided on the Epiphone SG 'Goth' model, not for the pretentious name, but for the looks. I rarely change strings, so seeing black strings available at a local shop I figured it should be something to try out. For added effect, I'm uncomfortably playing with a black Dunlop pick (too heavy for me).
