Exposure on Family Ties TV sitcom during the 1985-86 season renewed interest in the song. Rhino Records purchased the song from the Alfa label and re-issued the original version as Rhino 74403, it reached #1 on both the Hot 100 and AC charts in January 1987. The song reached #40 Country and #70 R&B, one of the last Gold-certified singles in the 45 RPM format.
