Cyrus wrote "Hope Is Just Ahead" nearly 15 years ago, just a day after the Columbine High School massacre.

And the initial recording of the song wound up on Cyrus's 2012 release Change My Mind.

Elliott, who is not only rapper/producer Buck 22 but is Warwick's son.

He and Cyrus first crossed paths years ago.

More recently, Elliott attended one of Cyrus' shows and remarked on how much he liked

"Hope Is Just Ahead."

Days later, he popped into Cyrus's dressing room just as he was about to play Jay Leno

and decided to call his mom.

He told her about the song and had Cyrus sing it to her over the phone.

She loved it, and agreed to be a part of the track.

"When Dionne Warwick joined the record at Jamie Fox's studio, that's the way this whole [song] evolved,

like it was meant to be," Cyrus said.

"That's why I held onto the song all these years.

It was God's timing, waiting for this moment with the right song with the right singer

and I will say Dionne just elevated the song beyond my wildest dreams."

Dionne on the phone, convincing her to sing the song with Billy, & as they say

My comments about Dionne she has always been about hope, that's what makes her so magical, but real

in all of her AC music since the 60's,

Dionne has always been a fav of mine as she had hits on AC through

most of the 70's into the 80's. Hope is a modern version of Love Power,

which went to the top of R & R AC chart.

Even though she was given a lot of flack for Solid Gold, Dionne was my fav host on that show around 1980.

With Billy Ray Cyrus writing such a masterpiece. Hope, Dionne made magic out of it.

Hope feels like a Walt Disney version of "Let It Go"

However in this time of turmoil in our society today,

ever since Columbine, and 9/11 it changed the US in ways we'd never fathomed.

Hope is just what we need to heal us! "Hope" needs to be the anthem for the US on forward!
