The body is made from a varnished laminate Spruce top and the Basswood back and sides form a hard-wearing body that make it lightweight, tough and flexible.

A fitted Maple bridge provides optimum height above the ebonised hardwood fingerboard and makes this double bass suitable for both bowing and plucking.
