Ten years old boy Brandon “Taz” Niederauer's version of Jimi Hendrix's “Voodoo Chile” with Cedric Burnside and Roosevelt Collier at Shorty Fest 2014.

The Trombone Shorty Foundation delivered the second-annual Shorty Fest concert on May 1 2014 in New Orleans, La., during the second weekend of New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2014. This music-filled event highlighted emerging young talent and included a performance by students participating in the Trombone Shorty Academy music performance program and headliner Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue.

Shorty Fest benefited the Trombone Shorty Foundation’s programs in partnership with Tulane University to educate young musicians and help launch careers in music.

The show featured three stages of performances by emerging young musicians.
