Tom Pierson is a composer, jazz pianist, and film director based in Tokyo, Japan. He has worked for 20th Century Fox, United Artists, NBC, NET, and other major entertainment companies. He scored films for Woody Allen and Robert Altman. He graduated from the Juilliard School and conducted Leonard Bernstein's Mass at the Metropolitan Opera. Pierson was called "brilliant" by the Philadelphia Daily News. The Nihon Keizai Shinbun referred to him as "a genius".

トム・ピアソン

クラシックを志しジュリアード音楽院に学ぶが、ジャズに傾倒。
２０世紀FOX、United Artists、NBC,NETなど大手制作会社で作・編曲家として活動し、ウディ・­アレン監督「Manhattan」、ロバート・アルトマン監督「Hair」等の映画音­楽を担当。日本ではCDやビデオを数作発表しており、雑誌などに度々紹介されている。­ジャズミュージシャンとしての印象が強いピアソンだが、本作では監督だけでなくオリジ­ナルのロックナンバーを作曲・提供している。東京在住１６年になるピアソンだが、日本­語はほとんどできない。そのため、劇中の会話は俳優のアドリブで進められている。
