SONG FOR THE LOCALS - BIG BABY ERNIE - HURRICANE SANDY AFTERMATH - Video
PUBLISHED:  Nov 08, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
TOMS RIVER NEW JERSEY November 5th 2012 - Big Baby Ernie has opened for blues legend Johnny Winter as well as roots reggae great Eek a Mouse and Bob Marley's legendary Wailers. Their claim to fame is well rooted at the Jersey Shore with their funky sound. The leader of the band is Ernie DeLuise, "The way I see it is, I've got soul enough to sing in front of anyone and I'll get my face kicked in sometimes, but no one has a soul like mine." ...and SOUL it is as Ernie too is a victim of Sandy as he is a true LOCAL and had been living in Ortley Beach, NJ. We caught up with Ernie and the boys Monday night at McIntyre's Pub in Toms River, NJ where he performed a new song inspired by the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. For Ernie and many others...they can't go home.
