02 biff bang pow

When the Creation broke up in disarray in April 1968, the idea that they would ever reassemble for any professional purpose would have been laughable.

They had made classic and barrier-smashing records since their formation in May 1966. Their small catalogue consisted of some of the finest recordings of the era. The Creation are considered highly influential in a number of ways. For Example Eddie Phillips was the first guitarist to use a violin bow, later adopted by Jimmy Page, and the band were the inspiration for the formation of Creation Records. The labels founder Alan Magee was in the audience.

By the second Mean Fiddler gig in August 1995, the group were less rusty and gave a fine performance. The band have not played together since.
