'The 3 Worlds of Gulliver' - Bernard Herrmann conducts - Video
PUBLISHED: Oct 08, 2013
DESCRIPTION: Bernard Herrmann composed a delightful score for 'The 3 Worlds of Gulliver,' the 1959 movie based on Jonathan Swift's novel 'Gulliver's Travels.' Herrmann's music was a kind of 18th century pastiche and for a 1975 Decca 'Phase 4 Stereo' studio recording, he devised a 25-minute Suite. From it we hear the Overture and Love Music played by the National Philharmonic under the composer's direction.
