Beth Bladen
Type:
Artist / Band / Musician
Having grown up in Southern Indiana, Beth Bladen spent
her childhood influenced by such artists as Emmylou
Harris, Linda Rondstadt, and Dolly Parton.
Her music evokes the earnest, soulful poetry and
playful humor that defines classic country. Woven of
heartfelt honesty, wry wit and an occasional sharp
tongue, Beth’s lyrics can take a listener from crying
in their beer to slapping their knee and stomping
their boots.
Possessing a strong, clear voice ranging from a sweet
angelic lilt to a gutsy growl with a hint of twang,
Beth can belt out a ballad and then bring it down to
the soft whisper of a hymn. She brings to mind a
cross between Loretta Lynn and Gretchen Wilson but
remains an original talent.
Beth has recorded and performed with such innovative
and varied musicians as Tia Sprocket, Zander Schloss
of the Circle Jerks, and the legendary reggae drummer
Santa Davis. She provided background vocals for Larry
Gardner and Purgatory Rodeo. Beth has performed in and
around Los Angeles' country scene at clubs such as the
King King, The Derby, The Cinema bar, and Genghis
Cohen. Beth is currently back in the studio preparing to release more
of her music.
